About Our Tutors

SAS Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are energetic, enthusiastic, and committed to the educational advancement of individuals with autism.  Initially, each tutor receives 40 hours of training in the principles of behavior analysis and evidence-based educational practices, undergoes a local, state, and federal background check, is CPR certified, receives hours of on the job training and shadowing, is assessed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and must pass a national examination to be credentialed by the Behavior Analysis Control Board. Additionally, RBTs receive client-specific training once they are paired with your family.  Our approach emphasizes both the importance of precise and data-based teaching as well as creating an environment in which each client is motivated to learn.  Play skills and socialization are emphasized during both training and intervention services.

All of our employees as certified as Registered Behavior Technicians through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and operate under the direct supervision of Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts and Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
